Celebrating Our Youth of the Year Candidates

Every year, the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley honors outstanding youth who embody leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to their community through the Youth of the Year program. This prestigious recognition highlights the incredible impact the Club has on young people, helping them grow into confident, driven individuals. Our six inspiring candidates have each made a lasting mark on the Club and their community, and we are excited to share their stories.Meet Our 2025 Youth of the Year CandidatesJosiah is a junior at Milford High School and has been a Boys & Girls Club member since sixth grade. Now a Youth Development Professional, he strives to support younger members, inspired by the mentors who shaped him. As JV captain of Milford’s boys’ basketball team, Josiah leads with dedication and teamwork. He also is an active member of We the People and is bilingual in Spanish and English. Committed to resilience and integrity, he aims to make a lasting impact in his community.Paradise is a senior at Milford High School and a longtime Club member who now serves as a Lead Youth Development Professional. Passionate about mental health advocacy, she has co-led Youth Summits, worked with Active Minds, and promoted prevention strategies. She was awarded the Saint Michael’s College Book Award and plans to major in psychology. Inspired by personal experiences, Paradise strives to foster resilience, understanding, and inclusivity.Sawyer is a senior at Milford High School and a former Club member who now works as a Youth Development Professional with young members. Recognized as one of the Club's Staff of the Month, he is valued for his leadership, advocacy, and community-building skills. With aspirations to become a high school teacher, Sawyer is dedicated to creating inclusive environments where all students can thrive.Collin is a senior at Milford High School and joined the Club two years ago, quickly becoming an active leader in the Keystone Club. As a Youth Development Professional, he fosters engaging spaces for younger members. Beyond the Club, he serves as Keystone Club Vice President and Student Council Secretary. A Boy Scout Medal of Merit recipient, Collin is passionate about history and education, aspiring to become a high school teacher.Annabelle is a junior at Milford High School and has been involved with the Club since first grade. Now a Youth Development Professional, she mentors younger members and fosters a supportive environment. A JV basketball captain and marching band member, Annabelle excels in leadership and teamwork. She is also active in her church and the National Art Honor Society, committed to creating inclusive spaces for all.Olivia is a junior at Milford High School and a dedicated Club member active in the dance program. She also is a regular participant in Interact Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Best Buddies. A former cheerleader and lacrosse player, Olivia values teamwork and inclusivity. As Youth of the Year, she hopes to inspire others to pursue their passions and personal growth.Join Us to Celebrate!We invite you to join us for a free, family-friendly evening as we celebrate these incredible young leaders, the businesses and organizations that support our Club, and the impact of our community. Each candidate will share their story, and we will conclude the evening by announcing our 2025 Youth of the Year winner!
